Oleg Rutkovsky was born in a family of musicians and started playing violin at a very early age. In 1991, Oleg graduated from Moscow Conservatory of Music with the highest marks in violin, viola, piano and music education. In 1990, Oleg Rutkovsky was invited to participate in IV International Violin Competition 'Isola di Capri' (Capri, Italy) and was awarded the 1st Prize of the competition playing N. Paganini's 4th Violin Concerto with cadenza which Oleg Rutkovsky composed especially for this event. Right after that, he was invited to perform in a number of renowned music festivals.  More than that, In Rimini, Italy he shared the stage with such famous musicians as B. Berezovsky (1st Prize 1990 P. I. Tchaikovsky Piano Competition), E. Pace and E. Bushkov (both winners of many international competitions). 

Only after a year playing in the the First Violins section with the State Symphony Capella of Russia under a button of legendary conductor G. Rozhdestvensky, Oleg Rutkovsky accepted  a position of an Assistant Concertmaster of the famous Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra. With this orchestra, he traveled around the globe performing in almost every important music hall including Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, Royal Albert and Barbican Hall in London, Beethoven Hall in Bonn (Germany), Gewandhaus, Symphony Hall and Suntory Hall in Tokyo and Osaka (Japan), Musikverein Golden Hall in Vienna and many more.

Violin, Viola, Piano Lessons 

In 1994, Oleg Rutkovsky immigrated to USA and settled in Fort Lee, NJ. He made his American debut recital in Memphis, TN, in 1995. Since that time he has performed with many different orchestras such as New Jersey Symphony, Albany Symphony, New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony, New Philharmonic of New Jersey, Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Bacchanalia Chamber Ensemble, Princeton Symphony Orchestra. Oleg Rutkovsky has appeared in a number of Broadway productions such as "Ragtime" and "The Music Man", "Jekyll and Hyde", "The Wizard of Oz" and many others.

 In 1996, Oleg Rutkovsky  was proud to perform with the Houston Festival Orchestra as Concertmaster under a direction of M. Shostakovich, son of one of the greatest composers of our time Dmitry Shostakovich.  He had a unique opportunity to perform for President B. Clinton and for NYC mayor M. Bloomberg. He shared the stage with Lucciano Pavarotti, Ray Charles, Bernadette Petters, Dudley Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.

At present time, Oleg Rutkovsky teaches extensively violin, viola, piano and music theory lessons online and  in his music studio in Fort Lee, NJ. His students have been accepted to many prestigious music schools such as Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music and Mannes .
